While in the Amazon affiliate area searching through the available widgets it occurred to us that one of the larger web affiliate programs out there is?
You guessed it… Amazon.
An example music widget is shown below enabling visitors to your site to purchase music direct from the Amazon music store.
continuing to look at the Amazon widget offering it was refreshing to witness the wonderful array of widgets that anyone can use to monetise their respective websites. One widget particularly nice with its hints of apple style scrolling was the carousel configuration enabling an easy viewing of various music albums. Alas due to it’s horizontal nature the only option was to add the vertical (Ferris Wheel) option in the now updated sidebar. Fee free to take a ride…

Congratulations to the German Lena for taking out the Eurovision song division.
As always the Eurovision provided some entertaining viewing and must add that considering English is a second language to most of the contestants many seem to do a decent job at singing in their non-dominant tongue.
Again a huge BRAVO to Lena and yet another BRAVO to Norway for hosting the spectacular event.
The BlastMyMusic.com site is absolutely free to all customers and there is no charge for artists to join. To use the extraordinarily simple process, artists need only to log on, create a profile, and upload their music, placing the unique MusicBlaster player on their site. Digital downloads sell for only 99 cents a piece, with two-thirds of each sale generated going straight to the artist, immediately after a 30-day fund verification process. The customized MusicBlaster player offers consumers the opportunity to stream 30 seconds of a song and the option to purchase the individual track in the unprotected MP3 form, which means they can play on any brand digital player. Artists themselves can access their accounts in real time to see how many total tracks they’ve sold, the most popular downloads and the geographic location of those sales, helping to formulate their marketing and promotional plans.
The expansion and improvement of mental ability has peaked personal interest for some time and as great as it would be to babble about this subject I feel best to choose and halt this action for two reasons;
1. This topic interesting yes, has been covered in depth by people more qualified, interested and better suited to write about it. A simple google search will reveal this obviousness to you…
2. This site will be aligning more to it’s name and attempt to steer away from random ramblings. At least on this website
Should you be curious as to how well you can solve puzzles why not have a go at one of the simpler free online tests by clicking the link below.
Here I sit in front of this laptop after so many days of internetless woe (damn that fickle wireless). After brushing the dust of the keys I began to wonder what caused this significant lapse in posts… well lack of Read more…
You-tube was briefly visited this evening whereby a thought spasm or two occurred. One was why on earth are certain videos viewed so many times (not including the one attached for I found it entertaining, taking me back to the Blue-Light disco days and laughed my ass off with the lawnmower move for was guilty of performing this one myself (sometimes still do)). Second thought was considering this site is entitled Music’s Place then once in a while (certainly be long gaps between these posts) it is only fair to post some music related material. So enjoy…

Needed to share some basic wordpress findings with others after considering the trials & tribulations of installing 2 basic functions mentioned on title. It took a few forums to figure out how to implement their function.
For those that have visited here before you may notice a few changes to Music’s Place namely the theme along with unseen elements of Blog Stats and Akismet plug-in (after only a week and a bit it has already captured over 600 spam). As much as I don’t have time for spammers I admire their computer prowess. I mean most of us are running powerful systems with the latest defense systems engaged and have trouble deleting a file while you can get someone from a cave in Himalayas with a pedal-powered typewriter connected to some ancient morse-code device via an E.T type phone home system made from the nest of horned puffins bouncing a few satellites where they spam you from an anonymous server in the Netherlands. Wow imagine they Read more…
Though it was a fantastic movie, I talk not of the film but the idea of eating breakfast. We’ve all heard the remark that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, blah blah. After beginning a day with coffee before the morning shave for longer then I care to remember… with exceptions such as when away on holiday or waking up from a night out to go out and eat breakfast which by the time the eating starts cannot be classed as breakfast. What I’ve set out to do was eat breakfast everyday for the week and observe whether in fact the act of breakfast is all it’s cracked up to be. To all those that partake in the breakfast activity this may be a who cares area for you? That said you will be surprised how many sensible adults skip Read more…

Anybody in the blogging world undoubtedly has heard of text link ads as a medium to generate some extra financial inflow through their respective sites. Text Link Ads (TLA) provides an opportunity to further monetise your site and may be rather fruitful for the webtrepreneur.
After reading about this alternative method for mass wealth generation through text link ads I felt the need to share along with a need to take away attention of the previous inebriated post faux pas. You more then likely have seen a few sites advertise the affiliate portion of the program through various graphical banners:
Similar to the one shown on the sidebar. I did not want to place it there but am unable to embed the code within this post for some reason?
OK admittedly the wealth generation may not be that massive as earnings are dependent on traffic flow to your particular blog and Read more…

What an interesting question. A question with an age exceeding that of the pyramids I’m sure. How does one ever know whether the woman chosen is the right one for them? Well it helps if you have that "cloudy headed" feeling for starters. More important is that the woman reciprocates the feeling and just when you think you’re safe here there is more (and no… it’s not a free set of steak knives unless of course they are thrown at you by a disgruntled partner (jinkies I’m a dag)) We all know that the old love vibe is only a bundle of chemicals floating around the mind which in my guess is a natural phenomena propagated by our creator to ensure the survival of our species although it is a wonderful feeling and worth enjoying while it lasts. Who am I to even discuss such an area? No I’m not Dr Phil, Doc Love or Oprah and may have no real authority on the subject, just a Read more…
Hey all… it appears the page rank update which is long overdue is in progress? Well at least for the Asia-Pacific region which encapsulates Australia. The latest iwebtool query had the google toolbar portion as down along with several others which NEVER happens. I think we will all be ranked or de-ranked very soon so to all I bid good luck with the new ranfandangled google algorithmic dance as from personal understanding no-one seems to know for certain how this google song will end.
You’d think by now someone would have leaked insider information on google tactics considering the fact that someone has to know somebody working in google (for goodness sake there had to be a leak during a drunken escapade from google staff?) I normally would not concern myself with such a trivial matter however after reading some of the blogs around it Read more…

After the last analytics analysis it has become apparent that a fair chunk of individuals are concerned with creating some cash flow with their respective sites or blogs and why not considering the effort required to maintain these things. There are many wonderful sites and blogs (yes I am an avid reader of more then two) offering useful information for the populous which are as guilty of the let’s generate some cash from peoples clicks syndrome. Not knocking them here for they have spent many hours of thought to create a site well constructed catering to their individual readers (none of that here in Music’s Place for as mentioned earlier I’m only having fun).
That said a decision to provide a mini ever expanding info-base within the following page ONLINE CASH $$$ was an inevitable evolution considering the results of the last analytics appraisal. The plan here is to post an article on the individual possibilities and link to the online cash info-base. As stated it will be an evolution at a speed to be Read more…

Tomorrow is a special day here in Australia for us fathers. The first Sunday of every September here in OZ is Father’s Day where we all gather and watch our respective paternalisms pretend to be impressed with their 40th pair of socks. By the way, anybody know the reasoning to such poor present selection when buying for fathers? Why a post on fathering? Perhaps an inference by the 15 million commercials or perhaps when considering what colour socks the old man would like Truthfully the urge to write stemmed from this quote below. A quote striking significant accord.
By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right, he usually has a son who thinks he’s wrong.

As wordpress does not have some of the required accented characters everything written here should easily be read by people who know how to read this particular slavic tongue (yes I am able to communicate in this tongue which may explain the lack of english mastery in other posts working on Mandarin which is a tricky tongue at present). Again what you see here is only a little play and spurred from an interest in how google ads will interpret such a post although having this English paragraph may dilute the effects of the experiment. I promise that some readily digestible and more profound posts are imminent… sad idemo malo dalje

Firstly apologies to everyone intending to find actual music related content while searching the net for music and reaching Music’s Place as you will not find much about music here (Was counting on the sister to reveal some of her limewire, itunes and other music escapades alas her posts are few and far between).
This post is nothing more then a test on what placing a few words within the content of a page has on google search results. The reason the experimental desire was aroused in the first place was the unexpected result of typing ‘one princeza’ in google search after the page was indexed. You may want to play with keywords yourself (i.e. if the process works) to help place your site in a decent position within a google search for a word such as music or music’s place. You may ask why bother with such a concept? Well unlike self there are many people who blog seriously and others including businesses who will greatly enhance their presence by entering a few well constructed words within their pages. Say you were a music store selling violins or you offered free music downloads then you need to let them google spiders know Read more…
Heard a remark the other month: A person cannot lead a life that is both happy and meaningful. How depressing is the statement should you choose to believe it?
The basis of this proposed theory is that if one is to have a truly happy existence they must live in the present (akin to a Zen-like) state. Whereas if they were to choose the meaningful path there must be reflection on the past and considerations regarding future. Now I’m aware there are further levels that are possible to visit in relation to zen and/or meaningful life afterall one may be able to lead a meaningful life by following the zen philosophy. We are not here to squabble, only refelecting on the statement. I recall where it hit the lobes. The series Heroes (a fabulous series by the way and perhaps the only show I allowed self time to view) is where it was said and perhaps a great deal more eloquently then here nontheless…
This statement had me thinking for some time. For starters is it true? After considerable time contemplating no true conclusion could be derived as I feel this idea has similar philosophical and unanswerable qualities to the question “What’s Read more…

Very few woman have generated that cloudy headed sensation for self in life (I mean so few that the count is yet to pass the digits of one hand ). You know… the one that science explains via a flood of oxytocin to the brain which apparently has a maximum life span of circa one year (sorry folks you can all blame science for bastardising the whole feeling with an explanation for the feeling). The nature behind it is I guess to assure the survival of our species. This said should you be fortunate enough to truly love your partner at the beginning then after the oxytocin levels drop there should be enough other elements to sustain the relationship. What is the reasoning behind such a post well I guess I’d like to introduce a lovely lass who is perhaps the only lass from my perspective deserving of the Princeza (Princeza=Princess translated from the slavic tongue) tag and is presently based in Scotland and one of the few femmes whom I remain dear friends with after so many years since our initial magical encounter. Found this fantastic article approaching the 80 year mark and felt the need to share. Great writing from Bertrand Russell back in 1928 providing some wonderful insight into his view on the soul or is he really talking about the soul? Nontheless a rivetting read and as an added bonus the minor experiment with picture shown is rather perplexing… enjoy.
One of the most painful circumstances of recent advances in science is that each one makes us know less than we thought we did. When I was young we all knew, or thought we knew, that a man consists of a soul and a body; that the body is in time and space, but the soul is in time only. Whether the soul survives death was a matter as to which opinions might differ, but that there is a soul was thought to be indubitable. As for the body, the plain man of course considered its existence self-evident, and so did the man of science, but the philosopher was apt to analyse it away after one fashion or another, reducing it usually to ideas in the mind of the man who had the body and anybody else who happened to notice him. The philosopher, however, was not taken seriously, and science remained comfortably Read more…
